LEARNING NUMBERS AND TELLING THE TIME THROUGH PLAY Suitable for day nurseries, preschools, primary schools.
Contents: One teaching clock with moveable hands 40 cm diameter Twelve coloured pegs with numbers printed on them: 1 – 12 on the front 13 – 0 on the reverse
As soon as children know the first twelve numbers, they can play at arranging the pegs with numbers printed on them clockwise in the holes, in the correct order. Using the clock hands, they can learn first the hours and then half past, quarter past and quarter to, followed finally by the minutes. Later this can be continued with the numbers 13 to 0, for the 24-hour clock. These numbers are printed on the reverse of the corresponding pegs 1 – 12.
The large teaching clock is excellent for teachers to use for demonstration purposes. It can be hung up and also acts as a focal point in the classroom.
