Contents: 1 rolling board 224 pattern templates in 14 different shapes – red, blue, green and yellow 4 cloth bags – red, blue, green and yellow 1 set of cards of various shapes for arranging (30 sets in 3 sequences = 90 cards) in a box 4 large wooden balls 4 small wooden balls
OBJECTIVE: Integrated training of basic perception skills (e.g. logical thought, mathematical core skills, alertness, memory, concentration). This is about recognising and arranging shapes as well as experimenting with objects of different sizes. Because the shapes have to be SLOWLY ‘rolled’, the process is ‘decelerated’, which sharpens the child’s perception of his/her own actions.
Procedure: Depending on the child’s stage of development, he or she can be asked to roll predefined colours or shapes, to remember colours and/or shapes and the connections between them, or to notice any changes. The card templates are for checking purposes and for providing ideas to stimulate the child’s imagination.
