Suggestions for playing: Side 1: Colour Sudoku This game is played with 9 sets of wooden pieces in 9 different colours. Playing with grid cards: For example, each child is given a grid card. · The pieces may be arranged by colour: Same colour for each grid card, for example, the colour red is put into each of the 9 cells. · A different colour goes into each cell, that is, 9 different colours per grid card. · A supervisor or therapist puts different colours into one or several cells beforehand. The child tries to find the missing colours and adds them. · Colour sudoku is played just like classic sudoku: Each colour exists only once in the nine cells of each row and column. · The colours can be called by their names to learn them while the game is played. · The coloured pieces may be used to lay beautiful and varied patterns.
Side 2: Number Sudoku This game is played with 9 sets of wooden pieces with the numbers 1 – 9. Playing with grid cards: For example, each child is given an grid card without wooden pieces. · The pieces may be arranged by number: Same number for each grid card, for example, the number 1 is put onto each of the 9 cells. · A different number goes into each cell, that is, the numbers 1 – 9. · A supervisor or therapist puts one or several numbers into one or several cells beforehand. The child tries to find the missing numbers and adds them. · Number sudoku is played just like classic sudoku: Each number exists only once in each row and column. · The numbers can be called by their names to learn them while the game is played. · The game also inspires the players to do arithmetic.
